Steven M. Cox advises clients in a variety of bankruptcy and creditor’s rights issues. Contributing almost 40 years of experience to his practice, Steve represents creditors, debtors, trustees, examiners, buyers, creditors and creditors’ committees, and other professionals in many kinds of commercial and consumer matters, including appeals. He guides individuals as a debt relief agency, and gives counsel in business liquidation and reorganization cases. Steve’s approach is to seek out options with bankruptcy as a “last resort.”
In the creditor’s rights area Steve handles prejudgment replevin, attachment and garnishments, and real estate and property issues, including trustee sales. He also directs clients in mortgage, deed of trust, tax lien foreclosure matters, and general litigation.
Steve is admitted to practice before seven tribal courts in Arizona, and he helps protected adults as court-appointed counsel in guardianship and conservatorship cases. On occasion he serves as a mediator and an arbitrator for the Pima County Superior Court.
